The Company

Cady Acres is a rustic wedding barn venue in western Wisconsin, near Menomonie. They specialize in single-event wedding weekends, with staff on-site to help make your event a success from start to finish. They started like many small businesses, building their brand as they went—with homemade business cards and an array of semi-branded products from local vendors.

Rebrand Process

Their rebrand began with a new mark, and we landed on the Archersand (a combination of their gothic arch barn contour and and ampersand). It’s a representation of the unity between couples who say and celebrate their “I do’s” under their roof.

Their primary Pantone 7696 is a slight variant from a teal they had been using prior—and offered a familiarity they were hoping to present to their audience. It is paired with a neutral brown, Pantone 405, which is quite elegant when set over a classic, bright white linen. An additional complementary coral color, Pantone 7418, is available to bring a color pop into certain advertising scenarios.

The typography is a bold slab serif, Hatch, with a condensed sans, Barlow Condensed.

Once the logo was determined, we moved to building out the greater brand vision. Additional implementation included stationery, email formatting, contracts, signage, clothing, social graphics, and a website.

Logo

The Archersand is a combination of a gothic arch barn and an ampersand. A gothic arch is based in specific mathematical equations, which are replicated in this symbol. The weight of the ampersand is decreased slightly to balance the overall weight of the mark.

Business Cards

Being a small, family-operated business, we decided to go with one generic business card for the team to share. It includes their main contact phone number, email address, website address, physical address, and social media handle. We chose a crisp, white linen stock for a quiet elegance.
